  1. AT&T Text-To-Speech Demo - This site from AT&T Labs provides a interactive demo of its 'Next-Generation Text-To-Speech' program. Enter some text and hear it pronouced by either a female or male voice in a series of different audio formats. You need Javascript enabled to use this page. To hear the audio output, your machine must have audio hardware and your browser must be configured to play audio files. There is a limit of 30 words per utterance and 40 accesses per day per site.

  2. Ansel Adams - This collection was compiled as a royalty-free resource of Ansel Adams' early photographs, and will be especially useful to web designers, desktop publishers and graphic artists.   7. Lightning Explorer - This site provides lightning information from the National Lightning Detection Network of all lightning activity in the continental United States. Your screen reflects two hours of lightning activity delayed by 30 minutes, with fresh data available every 30 minutes. Just click the Refresh button to get the latest map available. The National Lightning Detection Network constantly detects lightning discharges to ground. Each lightning event, called a 'flash,' is recorded at the Network Control Center for the NLDN. The dots on your map reflect these recorded flashes.
